CHURCH TOUR!!! November 12, 2018

Hello family and friends back home!!

I hope y'all had a great week! I've been enjoying writing down all the little things we've been doing so I hope y'all dont mind when I do this speed talk about my week (: so.. this week, we've been running around, singing, roller skating around a lake and the neighborhood, held a baby tortoise, had sushi and eggnog (great combo!), made a bunch of oreo balls, took singing lessons from our friend cathie, taught a man about faith, made fruit kabobs, held a gecko, and a chinchilla, made zoodles, listened to Christmas music, tried Gumbo (very good), set off smoke detector while making hamburgers, witnessed a car crash, spoke in church, started service at salvation army, danced with everyone at our other service to the song drift away, went out to the boonies for dinner, met lots of nice people, and had lots of fun!

It has been a very good week. The people are very different from my last area, but I'm loving it! The funniest thing that happened I think this week was when we were making the burgers in the house. So, we live in one of our members basements and they have been gone the last week and a half on a cruise and the very first day they are back, we decided to make hamburgers in the George foreman. We started cooking them and then the smoke alarm went off. We felt soo bad! Then the member who is also in charge of our dinner calendar came down and said. " I'll take the hint sisters, I'll get more people to feed you dinners" Haha it was so funny!! We were laughing so hard 😂

The most spiritual experience we had this week was when we took this couple that the elders have started teaching from bob and Wanda's on a church tour. Their names are Bob and Jackie and Bob is a Baptist and Jackie is from Church of Christ. It was their first time in our church building and they had so many amazing questions! We walked around explaining what everything is and the Spirit was so strong! The last place we went was the chapel and one of the elders played peace in Christ and it was so tender. Then we answered more if their questions and Bob said, one more thing, will each of you share with us your testimony? Ah.. so good! We each had the opportunity to share how we have come to know that this is Jesus Christs church restored on the earth and that Heavenly Father loves us and answers our questions when we ask. It was such a wonderful experience! I know that as we invite our friends and family to the church building that they will feel the Spirit. They dont have to come and convert, but they should have the opportunity to come and feel the love that Heavenly Father has for them through the spirit. I am so grateful that we had this opportunity to share our testimonies with people we have become really good friends with. I love being a missionary so much!!

I hope you all find ways to share what you love with others this week! It's so much better to share! 😊

I hope y'all have a wonderful week during this amazing gratitude filled season!

Temple Tuesday November 13, 2017

Hey Friends!! This week was so fun!! We had the amazing opportunity to go to the St.Louis temple this week! I loved it so much! I am so grateful we were able to go because we don't have on in our mission, but blessed with the best mission president :) We also had a fun time with our zone this week and did interviews with our mission president and his wife. They are such great people with lots of advice for us missionaries, I love it!  Something amazing that happened this week was we had exchanges with the traveling sisters (they go around the mission visiting all the sisters) and so there were four sisters just in our area, but it was the busiest day of the week! We had so many lessons that with each companionship we didn't have any gaps of time. It was such a cool miracle because we were able to teach so many people and have such a great experience. I just thought that was so cool!  Another thing that I started this week was reading the Book of Mormon and just...

TRY IT!!! July 9, 2018

Hello Friends and Family! This week was super good! I learned a lot! We got to meet our new Mission President and his wife this week! yay! They are so sweet! I am very excited to be able to work with them, even though it is sad to see the Lovelands go, they were amazing. I'm President and Sister Strong will be too! One thing I learned from President Strong this week was to TRY IT. He talked a little bit about how you won't know unless you try. This really stuck out to me because it works so well with everything! Like, you never know if that person is going to be interested in the gospel unless you try talking to them, right? You don't know if you'll be good at something unless you try. I love this so much! I'm not sure why it clicked so well, but it did. and it's TRUE! We are here to TRY. We have been sent to earth and given the gift of agency to try things. To try to improve and be better. We can't become perfect at something unless we try. I am so g...
