Hey Everyone!!
This week and half have been so good and so crazy!! So it's transfer week and I am being transferred to Springfield Missouri in the YSA ward. I am so excited about it! It's going to be sad leaving everyone here in Sugar Creek, but I'm looking forward to a new adventure with my new companion Sister Sanders :)
Last week on Pday we went to Crystal Bridges which is a very popular art museum here and it was beautiful. If you like art, keep that place in mind to visit one day. Then we had some sisters from Missouri come down for exchanges since Sister Tillotson is their training leader. That was a hoot with all four of us there. Cool story on this exchange: Sister Lloyd and I were together and we went to visit with three potential investigators that everytime sister T and I went they weren't home and guess what?? They were all home!! It was so awesome getting to talk with them and share a scripture. We had return appointments and we've started teaching. It's been an awesome miracle. With that, one of the guys we are teaching his name is Chris Lassiter (Like Psych haha so cool!) We met with him for the first time and invited him to be baptized. He said yes! :)
Another thing that happened was we helped out at a Down Syndrome fundraiser, we learned about Hypotonia (Loose or floppy muscles) This is something that kids with down syndrome have which is why they are so flexible. We taught everyone about that as they walked around and it was super fun! We also went to a baptism this week and our friend from Casey's gas station came! It was so cool having him there to see his first mormon baptism.
We also did a movie night with our investigators Dan and Tammy, we watched the Restoration and they loved it! We've had a lot of other lessons with them and I think they are just about ready to commit to a baptism date, hopefully I'll be back for the baptism :)
This week we did a couple other exchanges which have been really fun. I learn something new from every sister I am with and I love it. There are so many things I still need to learn and I can't wait to improve myself to become a better missionary. One of the things we did on our exchanges was a bible study. We went over Matthew 13:1-23, the parable of the Sower. It was so cool talking with the people there about this and figuring out the meaning of it. There's the rocky soil, the thorny soil, and the good soil. We should all strive to have the good soil so that we can root ourselves to Christ and His gospel. I love this so much! I encourage you all to read it or watch the bible video of it on LDS.org. It's fantastic :)
I am going to miss my sweet companion Sister Tillotson, but I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for me in Missoura :)
I hope everyone has an amazing week! I am so thankful for all your love and support! I wouldn't be here without all of you!
I will leave you with one of my favorite scriptures: 2 Nephi 31:20 - "Press forward with a steadfastness in Christ." As we continue to move forward in life we must remember our roots and make sure we are doing what is asked of us. I know the Lord will continue to bless us as we continue to follow His example.
I love you all!
