7 TOUCHES June 25, 2018

HEY Y'ALL!! I have a new companion and she's fantastic! We have already had lots of fun together! She is from Springville, UT and loves to roller skate. It's going to be a great transfer! I am doing well and glad to be able to stay here in Prairie Grove another 6 weeks! :)   I have seen so many people who have been touched this week! It's been amazing being able to see that so many people have previously met with missionaries or have had experiences with members. We went tracting and met a lady who was super sweet to us when she opened the door. Then she started to tell us that the Elders used to come over to her house and bring her pamphlets and she liked it. She scheduled a time for us to come back right away. It was super neat. Then, just a few houses down the street we met another lady who was good friends with a member of our ward. She said she loved her friend and thought the church was good.  She wasn't open at this time, but we left on a r

TRIALS AND MIRACLES June 11, 2018

Hey Friends and Family!!  We had some ups and downs this week, but mostly ups :) We had our last interviews with President and Sister Loveland which was so good, but so sad they are leaving!! It was funny though because when we walked into the building President Loveland scared us and then as we walked farther down the hall Sister Loveland snuck up on us and scared us too! It was so funny! They have been wonderful mission parents :)  Another fun thing this week, we got to go to girls camp!! woohoo! We were asked to come give an opening devotional and talk to the girls about Sharing their Light. It was wonderful and so much fun being able to teach them all! Girls camp is wonderful. (We also saw a bobcat cross the street on the way there! It was crazy! )  Sister Wamsley and I both had a rough Thursday though and we just cried for a long time, but it was really good. I have a hard time expressing my feelings sometimes and then it just builds up until I lose it and that's ki

WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP?? June 4, 2018

Hey Y'all!!  This week was a great week! We got an odd job this week to take pictures of a family making spaghetti for a family history booth in Bentonville by our Mission President's wife. Sister Wamsley (my companion) was a wedding photographer before the mission so she did that and it was super fun! It was with a cute 3 year old and his mom. There are so many things I've done as a missionary that I never thought I would, but I love it! I love being able to help serve where I can. We visited a member who hadn't been to church in a while and she let us do her dishes for her, it was wonderful! Then, she came to church yesterday! It was so great!  We taught another less active this week the Plan of Salvation and it was so amazing! We had one of the youth girls come out with us and she was so great. It was such a testimony builder to me, which it usually is every time I teach because as I am testifying I feel that I KNOW this is true. There's no way I

FIREFLIES AND RAIN! May 29, 2018

Hello friends and family!!  This week was so good! We had a lot of fun and visited a LOT of people! It was fantastic! The members here are so good to us and really do want to help, so we are working hard with them to help them become even greater missionaries :) It rained a lot at the beginning of the week, but it was fun knocking on peoples door in the rain. We got into a couple houses because of it :) At night the fireflies all come out and it is so AMAZING! There are lots of fields here that are just full of them and it is so cool to see at night. Fun story, so today we got to do a little photo shoot with one our members and her 3 year old son. It was so much fun! Sister Wamsley was a wedding photographer before the mission so she has skills to do it. We took pictures of them making/eating spaghetti and cutting cabbage. It was cute. We were asked to do it for our Mission Presidents wife to use for the family history booth they have in Bentonville. It was really cool

PAR-TAY IN AR-KAY May 21, 2018

Hey everyone!  I hope you are all doing well! Sister Wamsley's birthday was on Saturday and we had a member who asked us to come teach her fiance's daughter, which we are already teaching her fiance so we thought that would be a wonderful opportunity for us to teach his daughter. We went over to their house and they opened the door with little streamer things and whistles singing happy birthday. It was so cute! They had a whole cute pineapple and cactus theme party ready for sister Wamsley. They lied about the lesson just to get us over there. It was really fun though. :) We were out looking for the members on our list from our relief society president and we stopped by the Patterson's home.(Our relief society pres. asked us to try by a list of sisters who we didn't know anything about). Brother Patterson was so sweet and surprised to see sisters, but he let us in to visit with him and his wife. We were able to talk to them about their conversion story and minis

Pics of Mariah's apartment in Prairie Grove May 14, 2018

This is our apartment. I already started deep cleaning this morning. The sisters did a good job, but the elders were pretty gross so it needs to be deep cleaned. It's fun though! I like the challenge!

PRAIRIE GROVE May 14, 2018

Hey Y'all!!  I'm back in Arkansas!! I made it to Prairie Grove on Thursday evening and I have a wonderful new companion Sister Wamsley! Prairie Grove is a cute small town just outside of Fayetteville. The people here are so sweet! It's been fun getting to know new people. It's much different from Miami, but it's still so great!  Yesterday was awesome because I got to talk to mom and the family! It was a great Mother's Day! Our church here got flooded on Tuesday so we were only able to have Sacrament meeting, but it was still so good! I'm excited to be here in a new area with a new companion. It's going to be so much learning more and meeting knew people. I'm grateful for the opportunities God gives us to grow. It's hard making big changes, but Heavenly Father does leave you to figure it out on your own, He's there for us every step of the way, plus He sends people to help us as well :)  Cool story/miracle: We were out visiting a couple invest
