DEVON GOT BAPTIZED!! August 27, 2018

Oh man! So many wonderful things happened this week I don't even know where to start... okay so funny story, we went bowling last Monday and it was my 1st roll and I went up (mind you, I haven't bowled since before my mission which it's been over a year now..) and I went to let go, but it didn't work out to well so I stumbled forward which put me on the greasy side of the lane and then I totally lost it. It was like slow mo as I tried to stop myself from falling, but in the end I was laying down on my back. It was so sad, but so funny!! I have a lovely bruised elbow now, but hey good news, I won!! In the end I beat them all haha it was crazy.  On a more spiritual note we had interviews on Wednesday with our mission President and his wife. It was so wonderful! After, President Strong interviewed someone we have been working with for baptism and after the interview they came out and President Strong said Charlie has some news to share. All of us missionaries standi

THUNDERSTORMS! August 20, 2018

Hey friends and family!!  What an adventure this week with the weather! Everyone has been telling us this isn't normal for August and I think it's because Heavenly Father knows there are Utah girls serving here and can't handle the 100 degree weather with 100% humidity haha. The thunderstorms are wonderful too! Although, we did have a tornado warning for a little bit yesterday, but it went away.  We had a really great week this week! We had zone conference on Thursday and it was our first one with President and Sister Strong. It was so great!! We focused a lot on preach my gospel and how we can use our technology more. It's very exciting! So, I will be posting more on Facebook, but I am not allowed to use it as a way of communication. I will respond to comments on what I post, but just a response. This way I don't get distracted on Facebook and just use it as a tool to share the gospel! but feel free to share what I post if you want :) Thank you for underst

CHRIST LIKE LOVE August 13, 2018

HEY Y'ALL!!  It's been a great week!  Sorry I don't have more time to write, but here is a cool miracle that happened this week! I am so very grateful for the opportunity to see the Lord's hand in every day life!  We had a miracle happen yesterday. We were at church and the thunderstorms were insane! Luckily people still made it to church, which was wonderful. As we were trying to greet everyone, Bishop came up to me and told me there was a man in a red shirt who just came in and wasn't a member. He asked me to go say hi to him, so I did! We went up over to him and he said his name was Yannick and he has never been to our church before, but he wanted to come see it for himself. So he came! He was very wet from the rain, but he seemed very happy to be there. Sister Rosenberg and I were already sitting with another one of the people we were teaching and there was no room left on the bench for Yannick. As the meeting started, I felt prompted to go sit with him.

Sweet text I got from Mariah's 9th grade seminary teacher August 5, 2018

This is Brother Heywood. He has family in Prairie Grove and sent me the following text and picture. It was so sweet! He taught Mariah in seminary at Butler Middle School when she was in 9th grade. What a small world! "I am sitting behind your beautiful, sweet daughter Mariah(Sister Burton) in fast and testimony meeting right now.  What a wonderful sister she is!  You can tell she is full of the Spirit and really involved in the work.  It looks like she has some investigators in church today.  You must be so proud of her for the marvelous work she is doing and the wonderful woman she has become. She just got up and bore a sweet, POWERFUL testimony of the Book of Mormon and the Savior Jesus Christ and the truth of the gospel and the Church.  Obviously had some great training  at home and Seminary."

I LOVE THE SABBATH DAY!! August 6, 2017

If you were to ask me what my favorite day of the week was I think I'd have to say SUNDAY! So many amazing things happen on Sunday and we get to go to church and partake of the sacrament. It's seriously the best day ever :)  Yesterday we had some amazing things happen at church. We got a referral Saturday for a 16 year old boy named Fernando (name has been changed by S.Rosenberg)  and he was so excited to meet us and come to church. So we got him a ride and he came! It was our first time meeting him and at first he was very shy and a little uncomfortable being somewhere he had never been before, but throughout church his mind changed. Our testimony meeting was so wonderful! There were many testimonies given on the power of prayer and acting on promptings. He said after that, that this was going to be his church and he felt like he was home. He even brought up being baptized! It was such a tender experience to see how when people come to church, they feel the Spirit and the

GO HOGS!! August 1, 2018

I am staying here in Prairie Grove AR-Kansas with Sister Rosenberg another 6 weeks! woot woot! I am so excited because we have amazing people we are working with and it's been such a fun companionship!! It'll be a great 6 more weeks!  This week we were in a town in our area that we don't get to spend very much time in, just once a week and we weren't sure what to do. So we prayed and felt that we should walk to go see this less active member and then after go try a former person who was being taught. It was amazing to see the miracles come from that. We walked to the member's home and she said it was a miracle that we even caught her at that time, they just got home and were only staying for a little bit before leaving again. It was so cool!! We wouldn't have been able to see her if we would've driven because we would've gotten there before they were there. After that we went to visit the former and we pulled up and they were outside so we got out
