VAN BUREN. WHERE? VAN BUREN! October 24, 2018

Hey Y'all!!  What an adventurous week and a half! (the subject line is for mom- her favorite commercial that I think of every time I tell people where I'm going haha) but we got transfer calls and I am sadly leaving Prairie Grove and headed farther south for the winter to go to Van Buren!! It's a small branch down there and they've asked me to be the Sister Training Leader over all the sisters in that Zone. So that will be something new and exciting! My companion is SISTER BUHLER!!! She's been there 3 months already and it's her first area, so she just finished her training.  It'll be so fun!! It was sad saying goodbye to everyone here, but I know I'll see them again!  (This is my all-time favorite commercial...) We had a fun week visiting with everyone. It's an awesome excuse to go see people we haven't seen in a while. There are so many good things happening in this area, I'm excited for the new sister to come here! althou

"Remember, the worth of souls is great in the sight of God!" October 15, 2018

Hello, Hello!!  This week has been full of uplifting thoughts! We had our interviews with our mission president and it was great! We are going to be starting something new here in Prairie Grove that I am so excited about it! It's called the Book of Mormon experiment and we will take pages from the Book of Mormon and give it to someone and have them mark all the times it says Jesus Christ or God. Then have them write their thoughts on the back. It's a wonderful way for people to read the book and realize that it's all about the Savior. I think it will be wonderful for everyone here!! I'll have to let you know how it goes next week!! :)  We also had Ward Conference yesterday which was SO GOOD!! We talked about how the worth of souls is great in the sight of God. I loved how they focused it on how we can minister to those around us, because we are all Sons and Daughters of a loving Heavenly Father and He wants us to love and serve one another. They are WORTH IT.

I'M TRYING TO BE LIKE JESUS! October 8, 2018

Hey Y'all!!  This week was sooo good!! General Conference was AMAZING!! How exciting for the new changes and new temples! I am very grateful we have a prophet on the earth today to lead and guide us. We had an amazing opportunity to watch three of the sessions with Yannick (the guy who "randomly" walked into church on week) and he loved it!! At the end of the last session yesterday, he said.. I got so many questions answered. How does the 20th sound for baptism?? Schedule my interview. OH MAN. It was so exciting to hear that!! You could tell the Spirit had truly spoken to him through the prophet and apostles. He had been preparing to hear those messages and he was able to receive answers to his questions! Yay!! Also, we watched the Hope Works talk by Matt Townsend on LDS.org with him and some members and then in the last session of Conference Elder Jack N. Gerard quoted something that Matt Townsend quoted, it was from Tellihard De Shardan and he said, "we are not

OREO NIGHT!! September 24, 2018

Also! We have started this awesome thing with our Zone called Oreo night. So every Thursday we take pictures of us with our companions eating oreos. Super weird, but super fun! This was our first time so we didn't know what to do, but some of the photos are hilarious!!

SEEK HIS LIGHT, SHARE HIS LIGHT! September 24, 2018

Yesterday, we had a special conference and Elder Carl B. Cook of the seventy came!! It was AMAZING!! Also, super cool because it was a multi stake conference and the stake I started my mission was a part of it so I got to see some of the people from my first area! So great!!  There were so many things said that I absolutely loved! But one thing that really stood out to me was the "seek His light, share His light." The first speaker said this and then it continued as a theme throughout the rest of the talks. The second speaker talked about how we should recognize the love from our Heavenly Father, and then go out and share that love with others! If we truly want to follow the Savior's example, then we have to be willing to do the things the Savior did. The third speaker talked about seeing others as God sees us. He asked the question, "How can we see others as God sees us?" He mentioned 2 steps, 1-We need to recognize that we are all sinners as well, No one is
