How Can We Represent the Savior? October 30, 2017

Hello Friends and Family!  How is everyone doing?? So many wonderful things are happening here in Springfield Missouri, I hope the same for everyone back home :)  Soo many miracles, I don't even know where to start! haha but first off, we had zone conference this week which was awesome! Our mission president and his wife talked about how we can represent the Savior and share the gospel with everyone. I loved this and one thing I took away was to always have something to share with someone. Especially being near a college campus, we see people all the time so I am going to work on always having a doctrine of Christ or spiritual message to share with all those we talk to. I'm excited about this :)   Another amazing thing that happened this week was Payton, the member in our ward who reached out to sister and set up an appointment for us to meet with her, well we got to meet her! Her name is Sasha and she is so cool! She has been reading from the Book of Mormon and has so

THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST 10/23/2017

Hey Everyone!!!  This week was so great! We had a lot of fun things happen it's been a blast. Last Monday night we had FHE with the YSA and our investigators were there so we stayed and helped carve pumpkins it was so fun! The pumpkins were lovely and really set the mood for Halloween, it's still crazy to think that it's almost here already!  We also did service this week at a place called Next to New which is like a thrift store for clothes. It's fun and we enjoy helping them with it. I love being able to do service each week, because it really does help you focus on others instead of yourself and for me, I just feel so much better about it knowing that I am helping someone else. It's the best feeling :)  Another thing we did this week was focus on teach when you find, find when you teach. We spent a lot of time on MSU campus and talked to a lot of different people which was awesome because so many people have a desire to hear something uplifting and it

October 16, 2017 SPRINGFIELD YSA, WOOT WOOT!

Hey Y'all!  This week has been so good! It's also been so crazy because of transfers, but I did it! I made it safely to Springfield Missouri with my new companion Sister Sanders. It's been so much fun! I got here  on Thursday  after saying all my goodbyes to the wonderful people of Sugar Creek. Then I went straight to a lesson. The work here is going amazing and there are lots of people to teach! I love it! :)  It is definitely a change coming from a family ward to YSA, but it's so much fun! The ward is a blast and everyone is so willing to help us with missionary work. Something fun about our area is we are right across the street from Missouri State University's campus so we spend a lot of time talking to the students there which is awesome. I haven't had too much experience yet, just because they were all on fall break this last weekend, but I am excited to see it when there's a lot more people!  We did service this week at Well of Life which

Random pictures I have received by text...

I love that there are nice members in the area that will randomly send me a picture of Mariah. It is greatly appreciated to see her so happy serving. She always looks so happy! I'm sure there are tough times but I love her optimistic and uplifting countenance. We miss her personality at home.

October 11, 2017

Hey Everyone!!  This week and half have been so good and so crazy!! So it's transfer week and I am being transferred to Springfield Missouri in the YSA ward. I am so excited about it! It's going to be sad leaving everyone here in Sugar Creek, but I'm looking forward to a new adventure with my new companion Sister Sanders :)  Last week on Pday we went to Crystal Bridges which is a very popular art museum here and it was beautiful. If you like art, keep that place in mind to visit one day. Then we had some sisters from Missouri come down for exchanges since Sister Tillotson is their training leader. That was a hoot with all four of us there. Cool story on this exchange: Sister Lloyd and I were together and we went to visit with three potential investigators that everytime sister T and I went they weren't home and guess what?? They were all home!! It was so awesome getting to talk with them and share a scripture. We had return appointments and we've started t

Hey Y'all!!  This week was sooo good!! There are so many things that happened I don't know where to start. Last week on Pday we went to the Walmart Museum which was really cool! It was fun learning about the history, plus the best part was the ice cream at the end haha :) Then on Tuesday we went on exchanges and I went with Sister Buttars who is super funny and it was cool seeing her area of the mission. Funny story: One night this week we had dinner with a family and they didn't have dessert which we thought was great because we get fed so much. Then we went walking in a neighborhood visiting some members and we stopped at three houses. All three said, would you like a cookie?? So we had lots of cookies haha it was fun though. One of those houses was our mission president, because they are in our ward so that was fun :) Thursday we went to the mission office and got a Tiwi.. it's the thing that monitors our cars and ours has been broken until now. It took some gett
