Hey Y'all!!
This week was sooo good!! General Conference was AMAZING!! How exciting for the new changes and new temples! I am very grateful we have a prophet on the earth today to lead and guide us. We had an amazing opportunity to watch three of the sessions with Yannick (the guy who "randomly" walked into church on week) and he loved it!! At the end of the last session yesterday, he said.. I got so many questions answered. How does the 20th sound for baptism?? Schedule my interview. OH MAN. It was so exciting to hear that!! You could tell the Spirit had truly spoken to him through the prophet and apostles. He had been preparing to hear those messages and he was able to receive answers to his questions! Yay!! Also, we watched the Hope Works talk by Matt Townsend on LDS.org with him and some members and then in the last session of Conference Elder Jack N. Gerard quoted something that Matt Townsend quoted, it was from Tellihard De Shardan and he said, "we are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience." We both turned to Yannick right as he said that and he thought it was so cool!
I know I received many answers as well. I wanted to know if what I was doing was good enough and if it would make a difference.. well I got my answer. In the women's session, Sister Michelle Lynn Craig said, "Being more, doesn't equate doing more." I loved this!! Sometimes I feel like if I could just be doing this more or do this, then I will be a better missionary. But that's not always the case. We don't need to be doing more to be more. We can focus on the things we are doing and improve them. I loved how she also said something like, we can give what we have to Christ and He will multiply our efforts. Heavenly Father intends to transform us. Ah! So great!! I definitely needed to hear this.
