Hey Friends and Family!! 

This week has been so good over here in Miami! We are working so hard to find more people to teach and it's been so fun. This week we had our Zone conference and stake conference and they were both amazing! I had to teach a little bit in zone conference which was scary, but it went well so that's good :) I am learning so much! It's been a good week full of information that I am learning about how to be a better missionary and how to help the people in my area. Sister Najera is doing fantastic! It's been so fun training her and helping her learn more about missionary life. It's exciting :) She also makes me Mexican food which is such a great bonus and blessing! haha 

Stake Conference was amazing! President Tillman from the stake spoke and he talked about preparing to pray. I had never really thought much about this, but the way he talked about it made me want to focus on what I am praying for more and how I am preparing myself to pray. He said that we can prepare  to pray by being humble and obedient and pondering on the needs of others. I thought this was really good, because sometimes we don't think, we just pray. But taking a minute to focus on others and the reasons why we are praying is so important. Then President Willis of the Seventy came and he mentioned that God has not ceased to be a God of miracles. This touched my heart, because we are working to find those who are prepared in our area and as we follow the counsel that was given and ponder the needs of the people and pray for them with real intent, God will be able to help us. Also, remembering that God doesn't cease to be a God of miracles brings me hope that as we pray, He will help us find those who are ready to hear the gospel. One thing I have learned recently to remember the Savior was also during Stake Conference. President Willis talked about slowing down next time we go to the temple and focusing on our Savior Jesus Christ. I have learned that when we do this, even when we aren't in the temple, we can understand His role in our lives as well as our purpose to help Him. I know that as we forget ourselves and remember our Savior, we will be comforted and know of the love the Savior has for each of us. I am so grateful for this knowledge and I hope to continue to set apart time to stop and focus on the Savior and the things He has done for me individually.

I am learning so much and having such a wonderful time! I know that God has not ceased to be a God of miracles and as we are trusting in Him, and acting on the things we pray for, He will continue to bring about miracles in our lives. I love and miss you all so much! Thank you for all of your support! :) 

I hope you all can notice the miracles in your life this week and take time to remember the Savior and what He has done for you.

Mariah is serving in the Arkansas Bentonville Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She entered the MTC in Provo on Wednesday, August 9, 2017. She will return in February of 2019. She will serve for 18 months. She is so excited to be out there serving and teaching. She gets to write home on her Preparation Day which is usually on Mondays.  I will post the group letter she writes each week along with the pictures she includes.   Hey Everyone!!  This week and half have been so good and so crazy!! So it's transfer week and I am being transferred to Springfield Missouri in the YSA ward. I am so excited about it! It's going to be sad leaving everyone here in Sugar Creek, but I'm looking forward to a new adventure with my new companion Sister Sanders :)  Last week on Pday we went to Crystal Bridges which is a very popular art museum here and it was beautiful. If you like art, keep that place in mind to visit one day. Then we had some sisters from Missouri come down for exchanges since Sister Tillotson is their training leader. That was a hoot with all four of us there. Cool story on this exchange: Sister Lloyd and I were together and we went to visit with three potential investigators that everytime sister T and I went they weren't home and guess what??
