PAR-TAY IN AR-KAY May 21, 2018

Hey everyone!

I hope you are all doing well! Sister Wamsley's birthday was on Saturday and we had a member who asked us to come teach her fiance's daughter, which we are already teaching her fiance so we thought that would be a wonderful opportunity for us to teach his daughter. We went over to their house and they opened the door with little streamer things and whistles singing happy birthday. It was so cute! They had a whole cute pineapple and cactus theme party ready for sister Wamsley. They lied about the lesson just to get us over there. It was really fun though. :)

We were out looking for the members on our list from our relief society president and we stopped by the Patterson's home.(Our relief society pres. asked us to try by a list of sisters who we didn't know anything about). Brother Patterson was so sweet and surprised to see sisters, but he let us in to visit with him and his wife. We were able to talk to them about their conversion story and minister to them. It was amazing timing, because she hasn't been feeling well and he's not there all the time, but we were able to visit with both of them. We are excited to go back and continue working with them. Then, right after that we went to try a few more people and I saw a potential investigator who lived nearby so we went and ended up meeting the potentials sister who was interested! She has had many missionaries visit her and teach and now she feels she is looking for Jesus Christ's church and we were able to promise her blessings and set up a time for us to come back and share this message with her and her family. It was amazing seeing these people who have been prepared. This made me think of how we may not always see the fruit from our seeds, but as we are obedient missionaries, working hard to do what we can, it will affect the people in the area we are in. Then, later down the line future missionaries will have the opportunity to either teach those people who had been prepared or help the next family come back to church. This is such a comfort to me, because as I am trying to be the best missionary Heavenly Father wants me to be, we will be able to help this area and continue in this chain of serving others.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a missionary and to share the good news with the people in Arkansas! Thank you for all your love and support! I am doing great and loving the work. I hope you all have a FANTASTIC week!

sorry I will have to send pictures next week! My phone doesn't want to work today..

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! December 24, 2018

It's been an adventure of a week!  It started with our fun skit lesson we did with the elders. We have a family that feeds us every Tuesday and her sister lives in the Alma ward and her niece is being taught by the Elders so they asked if we could all do a lesson together at the church so we did! We (missionaries) acted out the scene of 1st Nephi when they go and get the plates. It was so much fun! It was a great to bring the scriptures to life and they all loved it. Plus, I got to be Laman and Lemuel so that was fun. After the skit we had a discussion about the faith that Nephi had for them to get the plates and how Laman and Lemuel repented from rebelling and they had to act on their faith as well. It was really special because then the lady who feeds us, both of her sisters aren't members and they were talking about baptism and learning more as well. So amazing!!! It was a great night. We are going to have another big lesson with them on Wednesday and I'll let y...

CHRISTMAS EVERYDAY!! December 17,2108

Woohoo! It's almost Christmas!!! One of our favorite songs right now is Christmas everyday by David archuleta. It you haven't heard it, I encourage you to go listen to it and his whole album. Ah. So good! It's been an eventful week as well!  We had MLC in bentonville which is where we went and talked about plans for our zone conference and future district councils. It was so much fun! Sister Rosenberg was called to be the other sister training leader so we get to go to that meeting together and we were able to do exchanges all day Wednesday and I stayed in Prairie Grove. It was so cool!!! I got to see a lot of the people I love and miss from that area. It was a blast being able to see them and be in their homes again. We had zone conference on Thursday and it was so fun! Since its Christmas it was a 2 hour meeting and the rest was just games and a talent show. Super cool! There are a ton of talented missionaries here. There was singing, kickboxing, roller skating, piano...
