Hello, Hello!!
This week has been full of uplifting thoughts! We had our interviews with our mission president and it was great! We are going to be starting something new here in Prairie Grove that I am so excited about it! It's called the Book of Mormon experiment and we will take pages from the Book of Mormon and give it to someone and have them mark all the times it says Jesus Christ or God. Then have them write their thoughts on the back. It's a wonderful way for people to read the book and realize that it's all about the Savior. I think it will be wonderful for everyone here!! I'll have to let you know how it goes next week!! :)
We also had Ward Conference yesterday which was SO GOOD!! We talked about how the worth of souls is great in the sight of God. I loved how they focused it on how we can minister to those around us, because we are all Sons and Daughters of a loving Heavenly Father and He wants us to love and serve one another. They are WORTH IT. I loved it. We watched the Restoration movie this week as well and every time Joseph Smith says that I get goosebumps, I feel the Spirit, because it's true. Each of us are great in God's eyes. He loves us more than we can comprehend! How amazing!! Doesn't that make you want to share that knowledge with everyone?? haha I do!
Something that has been coming up a lot this week as well is Faith in God's timing. We have been trying to contact one of our recent converts for a long time now. We couldn't get a hold of her. Then we decided we'll just go stop by. First, we went and visited Charlie, our most recent recent convert and it was so wonderful! We hadn't seen her in a while either because of conference, work, and sickness, but we were finally able to visit with her. We thought it would only be an hour, but it ended up being almost two. It was a bit long for a visit, but we could tell it was much needed for her. Then we had to hurry home and get dinner and then go see the recent convert we hadn't seen in a long time. She lives way out in the boonies, so we were nervous we weren't even going to see her, but as we were coming up to her house she had just pulled up and ran inside. We were able to visit her for a little bit right before she had to leave again to go to work. It was such a miracle! We had a little window of time and it meant a lot to her that we came. If we hadn't stayed with Charlie a little longer and gotten dinner, we probably would've missed her, or if we would've taken longer at dinner we would've missed her. It was amazing to see that God had a plan and His timing was perfect. He always has a plan for us even when we aren't sure or can't tell. We just need to exercise our faith and trust in Him.
I am so grateful for the many things I am learning!! I learned how to make homemade fried chicken yesterday and how to talk like a southern. I love Arkansas so much! I hope you all have an amazing week!! :)
